Short and Sweet

Hey not a whole lot to update on this week... Supprisingly it was a very busy week but uneventful.

Monday we cleaned house and things... Mom came here to go to the Esh's (dicount grocery store for those that don't know) and I got a good stock of cereal!!

Tuesday... I can't remember so it must not have been all that important! :-)

Wednesday we had a play date with a friend from our ward and that was lots of fun! Eliza even climbed up their tall wooden playset to the slide before she realized that she didn't have any way to get herself down other than the slide she didn't want to go down... Mommy made her go down it anyway (big bully)

Thursday morning Eliza spent the morning with Grandma Merritt so Mommy did some of the cleaning that is a lot easier when she's gone! That evening we went to the Candle Light Dinner Theater to see a friend of mine (Katrina Despain) in the Wizard of OZ! it was really a good play and the food wasn't too bad either! Eric being the amazing brother that he is even came and picked up Eliza for us because we were running a little late. Eric got in an accident on the way home but everyone was ok and Heidi kept Eliza happy and content the whole time they were sitting in the car!

Friday we caught up on some sleep, Ben worked open to close at work and so he was pretty pooped when he got home.

Saturday Ben went with his parents to the stake farm to weed the bean feilds. It was a really really early morning for them but they had a good time and they got to have a great breakfast afterward! Eliza and I didn't go this time around but we'll try to go next year after this baby is born! I mowed the lawn and then after I got Ben and Eliza laid down for naps I went and did some shopping and got a couple new shirts to add to my maternity selection!

Sunday was a good relaxing day... good meetings, long naps, and excellent food that night!

A week full of Mile Stones

Can't seem to make the pics move how I want... sorry they're in backward order.
Eliza expressing her opinion about getting her hair cut... Mom forcing her to hold her head still (it only kinda worked)

I'd hate to miss these mile stones of the week... so they're the whole post!

Eliza got her first Hair cut... She hated it as you can tell from the pictures. But her hair is much healthier and it doesn't look nearly as frizzy in the morning! It was just a tiny trim so you can't really tell but it looks TONS better. Not that she had enough hair to notice the hair cut unless we shaved her bald... but it's a trim non the less!

We went on the boat on Wednesday (92 degree's HOT!)... Offically Eliza has been behind the boat at 19 months old. It doesn't get better than that! She warmed up to the boat remarkably quick and loved sitting on the back deck. Then we even convinced her to get all the way in the water with Daddy. She did really well! with the exception of not loving the life jacket (in all fairness she can't hardly move her head in the thing) she played happily all over the boat and even got to drive for a little while too! There's no pictures cuz no one brought their camera... whoops. I'll try to remember the next time we're out!

Thursday had another mile stone in it! Grandma Merritt convinced Eliza to get into a ball pit (little kids blow up pool full of ball-pit balls)... for any who don't know Eliza this is a huge deal! She's super timid and wont do anything until she watches someone else do it first! So convincing her to get into a ball pit has been in the works for almost a year now! And the fact that she did it and enjoyed it is a huge deal! I'll have to talk to grandma Merritt about getting the pictures off her camera to load onto here!

The rest of the week was really uneventful. Nothing really to report. We all just hung out and stuff... I didn't get nearly the ammount of stuff done that needed to be done all week but I enjoyed myself so that'll be good enough.

Oh last big news: Eliza went to nursery today and stayed the whole time all by herself! It was only her 3rd week in there! I'm such a proud mommy! and the leaders even said she did lots better this week!

Waite Family Reunion!

My computer is fighting with me and I'm loosing so all the pictures are in the wrong order and before the post...

Eliza swinging in Great Grandpa Waite's tire swing set! She loved it!! Heather, Heidi, and Rachel getting thrown off the banana tube!

Lindsay's HUGE blister on her foot (it got bigger before she had to pop it!)

Grandpa Waite passed out after a long hard day's work on his mother's yard! (what a good son)
Eliza's cute little cheeto face! (I love those blue eyes!)
Playing in the sand at Bear lake... It was like bath water it was so warm!
Throwing sand at people and puddles!
Well I'm sorry I missed last week (especially to Jaron!)

Mostly I can't remember anything that happened in the last weeks but on the most important notes.

Friday we had our offical 20 week ultrasound and we have a very very wiggly baby GIRL! it was a little bit of a supprise that she's a girl after being told that she was a boy a few weeks ago. The good news is that we have all the baby gear we could possibly need!
Baby girl #2 she kept kicking the poor ultra sound tech!

Saturday we packed and went to Bear Lake, UT for the Waite family reunion. and that is where all the fun started. We got to the cabin... ended up going out to a store and finding a tent, air matress and such setting up camp and getting a really good dinner from a little burger place and crashing for the night. It was freezing cold all night long therefore I got NO sleep. As soon as the sun came up I took Eliza and myself into the cabin to warm up where we promptly fell asleep for a few hours!

Sunday was just a great lazy day for us. We took a walk on the beach and let Eliza run around like a crazy person. She started showing just how clutzy she is! By the end of the day she had walked through a forest of goat heads (the spiney weeds that stick in your feet and socks) fallen enough times that her knees were so bloody they didn't get all the way clean for days!

Monday was the day at the lake... All the rest of the family had gotten there and Staci and her hubby brought a boat so that made for tons of fun for everyone! Ben took his wakeboard and had a good time showing off (a little) but he did decide that having a tower on the boat is much better!! Eliza just loved all the time in the water and tons of really soft sand to play in! Thankfully she also managed to squeeze a good long nap in there too. In other peoples business... Rachel rode the banana tube and fell off once before she was done... mom rode it... and Heather and Heidi rode it as well (duh!) Lindsay is stupid and doesn't like sunscreen so she didn't put any on and now had an incredible sun burn! Alan also got blisters on his shoulders for the first time and I am the only one in the whole crew that didn't burn at all the whole trip!

Tuesday was yet another relaxing day at the cabin. We tore down camp and sent Ben home to go back to work. Then we went to Layton that evening. Thanks a billion to Mary (my aunt) who let Lindsay, Eliza, and I crash at her house!

Wednesday is when Lindsay's foot started to explode... almost literally. So everyone else in the family (except us) helped rip bushes out of Grandma Waite's front yard (my grandma) and plant some new lower maintainance plants. It looked really good once it was done
Thursday Lindsay, Eliza and I all came home to CO!! It was a long 8 hr drive... I did all the driving which wasn't too bad even though I could no longer feel anything from my waist down by the end. Eliza was an angel the whole drive (I think she was just excited to go home). The weather was pretty uneventful a little rain but nothing to stop us.

Friday we relaxed... I did a little shopping (no money spent!) and Ben cleaned the garage and fixed up our bikes for the 4th!

Saturday... Happy 4th of July!! Thanks a billion to all the men and women who serve our country and sacrafice so much for us to have the ability to celebrate a holiday like this one! Also a big thanks to their families as well! We are very blessed to live with the freedoms that we have here! ... We had the ward breakfast which was fun but Eliza was a grump the whole time so I was very glad to put her down for a nap early! That evening we went to my parents for dinner and the usual bike ride to the church for the fireworks... well the rain prevented us from riding bikes so we opted out of the fireworks and took Eliza home to put her in bed. Which ended up being a good thing because she passed out in the car before we even got home!

Sunday... it was a good week. I taught the lesson in YW's and it went well. Eliza successfully stayed in nursery all by herself while I taught for the 3rd hour. She didn't really play with anyone and just stood in the corner but she wasn't crying so I think we'll go for the whole 2 hours by herself next week!

Sorry for the long post... just lots to say! Have a happy week everyone!
