Like Mother, Like Daughter

So there hasn't been much going on here. Ben and I (mostly Ben) have been working on the house more. We are just one day closer to moving out and back into our own place. I'm sure that Mom and Dad Merritt are looking forward to having their house back :-) But there is still more work to do so, tomorrow will eventually come and i'm sure that someday we will finnish.
As for the funny picture of Eliza... How many of you can do that trick!? especially when your her size. The best way to test this would be to take a gatorade bottle, and then try to fit the bottom side of it into your mouth... if you can accomplish this then you have a mouth as big as Eliza's. (She gets her big mouth from me) I passed the gatorade test...who else can?

Kiss N' Chips

So Eliza has had some pretty serious food envy... but it's only of what Mommy is eating. Oh well. This picture is of us eating lunch and I was eating chips and she got a hold of them and promptly tried to stuff the WHOLE bag into her mouth chips and all.
Today while we were at church Eliza had a very interesting experience. She got her very first Kiss!!! Awww! After 2 1/2 hrs of church, three diper changes (including one explosive one) and nursing twice. She was all ready for her first kiss, (after all that work who wouldn't be ready? ) Anyways, so the story goes that mommy put me on the floor durring relief society and this little 11 month old boy, Jojo, crawled over to me and was poking my head and looking at me just being so polite. Then he crawled around so he was facing me and leaned down gave me a hug and kissed me! He just went in for the kill no point in wasting time on getting to know eachother first! But let it be known this is a record of my first kiss!

Guess What I've Learned!

Today is the day! Eliza rolled over for the very first time today! She was so sweet to wait until we moved to become more mobile! In addition to the ability to roll she has discovered that she can grab things... and then eat them (well at least try). This picture is her bug she just loves to eat it the wings are crinkly and the feet are just the right size for her mouth! Toys have taken on a whole new meaning for her, especially things that will fit in her mouth. I guess that I really am actually going to have to have a baby proofed house (bummer) :-(
The house is coming along very well we still haven't reached a point of putting stuff back together but that time will come soon. Eliza will have her 4mo check up and shots tomorrow and I'll post updates on that experience later. In the mean time celebrate!
