Some Day's are just tough Mommy days.

Not a lot to report this week. Ben works... I sleep all day and eat bon bons while I watch soap opera's all day. Eliza is officially old enough to take care of herself so if she can't reach it she can't have it. hahahahahahaha! If only that were a little bit true :-(

So the reality fianlly hits you like a really big bus full of sumo wrestlers; you wake up in the morning and have to clean the house, do the laundry, do the dishes, feed the baby, change a few diapers, and be reminded over and over again that I've always wanted to do this, right? Some day's I just want a vacation! Even just a few hours to be adored and praised for being a mom and doing the thankless jobs all the time. But instead I'll just happily settle with a great big hug and kiss from the most adorable 15month old in the world.

Enough complaining... The week was good. We visited my mom on Wednesday instead of Friday this week. We enjoyed our time and got to relax some! Friday we had Jane and Macie, and in the morning we had the Mott's over to play as well... my house was a mad house! It was a little bit of a bummer because I spent all day Thursday getting a jump on some spring cleaning but it sure didn't last long into friday. Oh yeah, now I want to paint my kitchen cupboards... I'm thinking white but I'm not totally decided.

Anyway enough of my jabbering on and on I hope everyone's week has gone well and we'll talk more later!

Happy Valentines Day!

This has been one of those weeks where you almost don't even want to post beause there hasn't been much going on this week. In fact I can't actually think of anything that happened this week.

One of Ben's coworkers was in Hawaii so he stayed late at work most of the week. For the most part that isn't a big deal but it does make me appriciate how nice it is to have him home before 5 and in time to help keep Eliza out of the kitchen while I cook dinner.

I had Jane and Macie on Tuesday this past week and that went fine. Eliza has taken to giving Macie hugs though and it's so cute! Well it's cute until Macie started crying every time she did it. The apparent remedy to that is having her hug me instead and I LOVE that! Oh and Eliza has also started learning how to give kisses! You pick her up and ask for a kiss and she leans in and rubs her face on yours it's adorable!

Wednesday I went to take Eliza to Grandma Merritt's house but it had snowed the night before and when I went to go out to scrape the car off but Eliza wanted to come with me so I got her all bundled up in all her snow gear (which made it very apparent why there are so many jokes about it not being worth it!) But she did seem to enjoy it for a little while and she got to play in grandma's snow too!

The rest of the week was good. Saturday was Valentines day and that was a great day Ben and I got to just stay home and relax... well sort of... Ben worked on fixing the hole in the ceiling from the leaking bathtub pipes. And we ran a few errands but overall it was an excellent day. Ben got me a really cool heart shaped heat massager thing it's really neat! and Well I'm a lame boring wife who didn't get him anything :-(

Here's pictures from Eliza playing in the snow:

Fat Lips and Skinned Chins

Eliza must be growing because the inner clutz has made itself well known this past week.

1. On Monday she fell down the stairs (top to bottom about 13 stairs) head over heels a few times and the she cartwheeled the rest of the way.

2. Tuesday we went to Grandma Waite's house and she was learning how to go up and down the ramp by herself and in the process of going down she missed the tiny little step at the end and the first thing to hit the ground was her face. Thus resulting in a fat lip and skinned chin.

Eliza's beautiful battle wounds... who knew that growing could be so painful!

3. Wednesday was pretty uneventful other than falling up the cement step into the house and scraping up her hands a little.

4. Thursday was just a whole day of falling. one thing or another was tripping her up no matter where she walked to.

5. By Friday I was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with her but she didn't have any major falls the rest of the week...so she must be fine.

So inspite of all the falls she has outgrown most of her 12 mo cloths but isn't tall enough to wear 18mo pants so we're rolling them up until she gains another few inches in height.

Ben's week has been uneventful and as has mine. We both have the runny nose thing but nothing that a little Nyquil wont take care of. So that about covers our week

Walking in a not so Winter Wonderland!

Sorry for no post last week. It wasn’t a very entertaining week so don’t worry you didn’t miss anything!

As for this past week it’s been a ton of fun. We’ve been busy with watching Jane and Macie who are both getting to be much more fun to play with. Macie is only a few months old but she is very active and rolling all over so now I have to pay more attention so as to not loose her! Jane is potty training and that provides it’s own kinds of challenges as you can imagine…don’t work too hard you’ll gross yourself out :-)
Eliza is walking everywhere and has discovered the outdoors. Thanks to the incredibly unpredictable weather in CO she has been able to play outside a lot more in the last few weeks thus resulting in major tantrums when she can’t go out to play. But it is really very cute how she goes to find her shoes and coat and then stands by the door until you’ll open it and let her out to play. We have come to find that gloves are an absolute NO for her. She totally defeats the purpose of mittens by sucking on them until they are soaking wet and make her hands even colder. Also she LOVES the park! Her favorite place to go is anywhere that I’ll let her just walk around by herself. The pictures at the top and bottom are of us at the park with daddy after going on our bike ride!

Earlier this week I took her to Kohls and let her walk around the whole store by herself at her pace. She loved it but by the end she just laid down on the floor and cried because she was so tired. I would help her stand up and she’d promptly lay down and cry. It was really cute but Kohls is apparently a lot bigger store when your legs are only 12” long.

Thursday when Ben got home from work we went on a walk to the park and let Eliza play for a while and she loved it of course and was really mad at us when we made her get back in the stroller to go home. In fact she was mad enough that she tried to jump out of the stroller but wasn’t successful. Then on Saturday we went on a bike ride on one of the many bike trails here in town. I was really very nice, a little windy but I really enjoyed the ride. I have to tell you that although I am enjoying this warm weather it is giving me horrible spring fever and we’re months away!! Oh well Right now we’re enjoying the Super Bowl and are a little disappointed about the end results but it was a good game to watch! ... that's about it so enjoy the pictures!
